Kid's Ministry

Our children’s ministry uses the latest teaching methods available.  We want our children to EXPERIENCE God not just learn about God.  We use “Hands On Bible” from Group publishing to allow our children to touch, hear, smell, taste, and see God in a wonderfully fun and exciting way. 

Some of the ministries we offer are:

    1. Children’s Church – 9:30a on Sundays is located in the North wing down the stairs to the left.  Children’s church runs simultaneously with Adult worship
    2. Sunday School – Starts September and runs through June.  It also runs simultaneously with the Adult Sunday School from 11:15a – Noon.
    3. Kids to Kids – a Friday night group which generally meets twice a month explores bible stories, prepares a social outreach project, watches Christian movies, and has a great time.  Kids to Kids is for 1st grade through 6th grade and starts with dinner at 5:00p, and ends at 7:00pm.  The children learn about God, themselves and the community around them. 
    4. Vacation Bible School – We have 2 vacation Bible schools: 1) August is our summer VBS from 6-8:30p and the children engage in activities around a theme for the week, and 2) Winter we have a second VBS for the children.  Parents are required to register and pick up their children in person.

Our Children’s Ministry Team consists of three leaders: Shay Helmick, Taunya Brewer, and Tim Johnson.
